A few questions for the team…

A few questions for the team…

We have chosen to speak firstly to  our Marketing Technician, Lisa Sparrow. Lisa joined Finset shortly after the country came out of its  first national lockdown. We realise that social media, marketing and good content is paramount to any business and Lisa was employed to ensure we have a solid marketing strategy that remains compliant. Therefore, it seems only right that Lisa would be the first person we sit down with to discuss her opinion of working at Finset.

A brief introduction.

Hi I’m Lisa, and I am the  newest person to  join the team at Finset. I take care of all of the marketing and the different aspects that the role presents.
Why did you join Finset?
When I looked at joining Finset I had been placed on furlough from my previous employer, which I was not enjoying. I was looking for an escape and I found that with Finset.  Graham assured me in my second interview that Finset were fully equipped and prepared to work remotely and that I would remain busy whilst staying safe. This filled me with confidence as working from home was far better for me than furlough. Graham outlined the preparation and contingency plans that had been put into place to ensure  a smooth transition into working from home. Being a new start company I couldn’t do a lot of research into Finset’s core values, but the way the management team had prepared for any eventuality left me feeling confident that  I would be joining a safe and forward thinking company.
How have Finset reacted to Lockdown 2.0?
It has been a smooth transition. Even though we are all currently working from home, the whole team have been liaising on Teams. It  is nice to see everyone’s faces and it makes the current situation much more personable. The whole team had completed a  weeks trial of working from home prior to the lockdown  just to make sure it was feasible and wouldn’t affect our Dealers or Customers. It amazed me that nobody we were dealing with realised we were not in the office. This was accredited to the new system working seamlessly, enabling  the efficient transfer of phone calls via mobiles, and laptops that were used at work now being used from home.  I think like a lot of other businesses, the world is realising you don’t have to be tied to an office to work efficiently.
What does your job role entail and who do you work with?
I was given a clear objective  from my initial interview. The Management Team were looking for someone to give the newly started company an identity. I was tasked with creating  an online presence for Finset which has given me the opportunity of working alongside some super talented and highly accredited people which I have found very rewarding. I work  alongside Dave from the management team,  we put together a monthly strategy  and discuss what we need to achieve. I am then left to be innovative, which is great as it  gives me the opportunity to put my stamp on Finset.
Any final thoughts?
Yes, I just want to congratulate the whole  team who are all working very hard  and have made great efforts in communicating during this difficult time. I am proud to work for Finset.
Lisa Sparrow.
