Before entering the world of finance, my skill set had always been sales and people. I started my nurse training when I was 18, but fell pregnant during the course, and felt studying with a baby and low income wasn’t possible for me!
I then joined a Virtual PA company and worked my way up, where I gained qualifications in Leadership & Team skills and Team Leading. I also learned a lot about communication, customer service and KPI’s, always determined to over-achieve them! After 4 years, I then left to explore the world of media where I had a fantastic career! I believe business is best done face to face, and loved meeting a variety of industries and helping them with marketing strategies…and strangely enough the main bulk of my clients were in the motors industry, both new & used showrooms!
I was then presented with an opportunity by one of my motor clients, and entered the world of finance in early 2019! I’ve met hundreds of dealerships over this time, listening to the needs of each business to truly understand what is required of a broker, and with this in mind….Finset was born!
Earlier in the year I trained to become a Mental Health First Aider, to provide support not just to internal colleagues, but everyone I encounter. Being in a Sales role, I am in contact with dealerships, customers and work colleagues every day and I feel I have a duty to provide support to all, whether that be listening, or directing people to professional support if needed. Everyone I’ve met along my travels will know me for being great at talking, but even greater at listening. With the industry and world we’re currently in, I truly believe this simple skill set mixed with the outstanding service and performance of Finset will continue to form the best working partnerships for all of our dealer partners.
I adore anything beauty/pamper related (standard Essex girl answer right). In my spare time I love being with my 12 (going on 18-year-old) son, Kai – football and food is generally how our weekends are spent! I also live for my friends – they are the family I choose.
